Dr Malcolm Brigden from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada is a medical oncologist at the Jack Ady Cancer Program in Lethbridge Alberta as well as an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of Calgary.

 

Dr. Brigden received his medical degree from McGill University and pursued postgraduate training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. He also has a master’s degree in biophysics from the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Malcolm Brigden is a diplomat of the American boards of internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology, and holds Canadian fellowships in both internal medicine and hematology.

Dr. Malcolm Brigden is a Canadian cancer specialist living and working in Lethbridge, Alberta. Malcolm Brigden attended McGill University and received his medical degree from there. Dr. Malcolm Brigden is an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Malcolm Brigden is a senior medical oncologist at the Jack Ady Cancer Program in Lethbridge Alberta.


Dr. Malcolm Brigden professional practice includes the full spectrum of solid tumors as well as backup in malignant hematology . Past administrative experience includes Medical Directorship at Island Medical Laboratories on Vancouver Island, Royal College CME educator for Northern Ontario , Director of the Medical Oncology Section of the Saskatchewan Provincial Program and Head of the Medical Staff Association for the Sault Ste. Marie regional Hospital for several years.

Dr. Brigden has previously worked in British Columbia, Ontario and the Maritimes. He has served as a locum visiting consultant overseas in Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and India. His practice has typically centered on community or regional cancer programs that provide the full spectrum of medical oncology and malignant hematology services.

Dr. Brigden’s research interests are team focused and include cost effective diagnostic testing, optimum cancer care follow-up and all aspects of community oncology practice. In collaboration with other members of the community oncology cancer care team, he has published a number of articles on the optimum functioning of community oncology programs including associated services and personnel such as social work, nurse practitioner services, advanced clinical pharmacy and physiotherapy.
